While enrolled at the Miami Community College, he was pursuing a degree in history while also working a sales position for Southern Telecommunications. He was on their golf club as well as their running club, however he never traveled for their competitions and he benefitted from simply being on the practice squads.
Miami University
Shortly after receiving his associate’s degree in history, William realized that while he was grateful for having pursued the subject he loves most, the skills he had gained in sales would prove to be much more beneficial in terms of finances. He enrolled at Miami University’s business program to get his bachelor’s degree, and in the meantime also worked his way up in the sales world. He took a new position at an auto parts distributor, which kept him well occupied outside of the classroom. Nonetheless William still stood out to his colleagues and instructors as a determined and smart individual who still put time aside for study groups and extra credit activities that boosted his academic performance.
